Chapter 20 – First
Fight (Script) ***At the Hospital, Meros rushes in Thanat’s
room*** Nurse: *bandages Thanat’s
forehead* There you go. Meros: Thanat!! Are you ok?
What happened??! Thanat: *smiles a little*
I’m okay, I got a few stitches, but it’s nothing grave. Meros: NOTHING
GRAVE?! You’ve got STICHES!! Thanat: … Meros: What
happened??? Thanat: … Meros: … *insisting look* Thanat: *sigh* I got a visit from my ex-boyfriend. Meros: *makes large eyes* Thanat: *shrugs* It’s okay, I don’t think he’ll come
back. Everything’s fine now that he
got back at me… Meros: …you mean you’re
not even gonna lodge a complaint…? Thanat: No, it’s not
worth it. Meros: THANAT! That guy got you into a hospital! He has GOT to face justice, you can’t let
him get away with it, it’s not fair!!!
Thanat: I don’t care if
it’s fair or not, I just don’t want any more trouble. Meros: *disgusted* you
don’t want trouble… *weeping with
rage* How can you think that
way?! He’s dangerous! What if he comes back?! Why are you being so weak?! Thanat: *annoyed* …is
this what you think of me? Meros: … *tears of rage* Thanat: Meros… How many years can he get for this? None!
He’ll probably just get some sort of therapy and community service. I know him: he’ll never forgive me if I am
to do ANYTHING against him. I know how
he thinks, he’s done with me as long as I don’t provoke him, HE WON’T BE
BACK! Meros: What if he tries
to hurt other people?!? It’s your
obligation to prevent this! Thanat: Didn’t you hear
what I just told you!? He won’t leave
me alone if I don’t leave -him- alone!
Meros: Why are you
letting him get away with this, why are you being such a coward?! Thanat: Why should -I- be
the one risking my life for this?! Why
should I worry about others BUT NOT ABOUT US?! Meros: “us”!? Thanat: Don’t you
understand?! … Meros: … Thanat: Don’t you
understand… that he can hurt -you- in order to get back at me…? Meros: …! Thanat: It wouldn’t be
fair! I don’t want to get you involved
in this, I don’t want to suffer anymore because of him, I just want him out
of my life! How is this so hard to
understand?! I don’t want to sue him,
I don’t want to see him ever again, and I really think this is it now! I left him, he found me back and hurt me,
we’re even! Meros: *weeping* Thanat: *reaching for
Meros, hugs him tight* Meros: … Thanat: … Don’t worry… Meros: *wiping tears
off* Please don’t scare me like that
again… Thanat: I’m afraid I
can’t promise that with my cross as a trouble magnet! *half joking* Meros: *struggles out of
Thanat’s embrace* Stop it already! I
hardly see your cross when I look at you!
How come you are so conscious of its presence? Why aren’t you used to it already? Thanat: ... *taken aback* Meros: Why did you get it
