Chapter 21 –
Reconciliation (Script) ***At the movies, sitting at a restaurant
table, waiting for their assigned room to open for the movie*** ***Thanat’s cross is
distorted due to the scar left by the stitches*** Coloa: You got it to
scare bullies away?! Meros: *embarrassed
smile* Thanat: *trying to look
calm and dignified* Anouk: Meros, I know you
can’t tell jokes but... Is this a
joke?! *Turns to Thanat* It has got to
be a joke! Meros: hahahahaha It
isn’t!! *giggles* Thanat: *gives him stern
look* Coloa: No way!! Meros: Yeah!! Thanat: It worked FINE
for a few years, mind you… Coloa: It stopped
working? Thanat: *nods*
Recently… Meros, Coloa, Anouk: … Thanat: I couldn’t make
my mind to lose it. It has some sort
of sentimental value, but… Now that
it’s scared, it looks kinda weird *pouts* Anouk: Only now that it’s
scared?? I think you need to open your
eyes, it looked weird right from the start dude! Meros, Coloa, Thanat:
*smile-sweatdrop* Thanat: *ignores Anouk*
It was pretty useful when I was in high school, but it’s not well perceived
generally, now that I’m not supposed to scare people away I mean… Coloa: So you’ll get it
removed…? Thanat: *shrugs* perhaps… Meros: … *smiles to himself* Anouk: Uh, Meros, is that
your brother?? Meros: *turns around*
…yeah!! *waves to him* JESS- *sees
Joan with Jessa, freezes* -A… Joan & Jessa: *see
them* Joan: *turns around,
surprised, wants to walk away* Jessa *walks their way,
holding Joan by the hand; she seems reluctant* Anouk: He’s on a date
with Joan…??! Jessa: Hey! Joan: … *crimson* Everyone: *frozen* Jessa: You’re here to see
Bright Night, I suppose? Meros: y-yeah… Jessa: *To Joan* our date
is officially ruined. Wanna join
us? *Joan looks dead embarrassed* *Everyone looking at each
other except Thanat, staring at the table, looking a little annoyed* Meros: sure! Jessa: Let’s go
then! *turns around, Joan follows him* Coloa: *gets up and
catches up with Joan, taking Joan by the elbow* Joan!
hi… Joan: *surprised, looks at
Coloa (she’s smiling), then at everyone else (they’re all smiling, except
Thanat)* Joan: *starts
weeping* Coloa: *hugs* I missed you! Anouk: *Tap on the
shoulder, wide smile* Good to see you
again! Meros: *big hug* Joan: I thought you’d
stay mad forever… Meros: I was never really
mad… *turns to Thanat, not letting
Joan go* Thanat: *serious face*
… Joan: …Thanat… I… I’m …*wiping tears off, blushing* Thanat: *hand gesture* I
get it, no need to force it
*embarrassed* Joan: *smiles, grateful* Meros: *BIG SMILE* *hooks
arms with Thanat* Coloa: *Hooks arms with
Joan* *Everyone walks towards
